Those Tesla stock options are definitely appealing, I looked around but I couldn't find any pay info for them. Schneider man oh man not my first choice but I know how they operate now and I can get in there probably pretty quick
I found a job on Craigslist, but it’s not what you think

I'm flipping a coin broaustinmike Thanks this.

But....is all that really worth it...if this job later trashes your CDL career?
-- OR --
Even worse -- puts you on the receiving end of criminal charges (for equipment failure -- that injures/kills someone)?
A true trucking professional -- will ALWAYS think: "safety first".
-- LAlbertaflatbed, MACK E-6, Iamoverit and 1 other person Thank this. -
Always the optimist!austinmike, sukhumvit and Chi Town Steers Thank this.

Probably need an interview with Tesla to get the fine details.Chi Town Steers Thanks this.

I agree sir, but I mean Lets be honest. There's so many cameras, so many Karen's, and so many cops on the roads, do you think this guy is getting away with anything nowadays. I went and took a look over in his yard this morning. Walked around the fence and peaked in the best I could. The local trucks and the OTR trucks are distinctly different beasts.austinmike and sukhumvit Thank this.

I face basically all the same Karens & cameras you do....
But...as a veteran fuel hauler -- do you think I would even remotely consider playing on a team like that -- given the inspection rap sheet they have (cracked frames, etc)?
The cold, hard truth is -- you can do better!!!
But -- you have to want it bad enough, first.
Via @D.Tibbitt's earlier suggestion...if they are now hiring drivers with less than a year's experience -- that one is the "no-brainer" go-to for you:

@Long FLD made a statement several pages back about this new place choosing to cut loose the one complaining about the equipment rather than fixing the reported defects. I foresee that being the most likely outcome here. The one who’s pockets the profits go in to will not allow anyone or anything to stand between them and new toys, so the “obstacle” in question can either expect to wind up as a patsy or walk as soon as things go south.
I’ve worked for such an outfit once before myself, particularly getting hollered at for writing up a non-functional speedometer for weeks, and seeing a mechanic get fired for being too diligent in fixing things. It’s expensive to do things the right way, you know.
Sirscrapntruckalot, Gearjammin' Penguin, Sons Hero and 6 others Thank this. -

I'm not saying you're wrong here, but consider the place I work. 20 trucks on the road. You know how many inspections we've had in the last 24 months? 3. I haven't been inspected in over 3 years. But we also run local, and early morning hours. But we don't run junk either, so it's not a concern hereaustinmike and Chi Town Steers Thank this.
