You were defensive, you swerved away. Could have been worse if you didn't
Stop blaming yourself for the stupidity of others, for there are plenty of stupid on the roads of Seattle
I got into an accident

I can't believe the irresponsibility of the other driver, a week has passed, and they have not managed to take his statement. And dude is 15 years older than

Their final investigation is putting me at least at 50% fault, because of right-of-way law. I have a liability of $50,000 per person and $100,000 per accident. How worried should I be? Could they sue me?

The other car was an old car and only the left front bumper was damaged.
My insurance adjuster is telling me that they will try to negotiate with the other company. What do they mean when they say that they will try to negotiate with the other company?
The limits on my policy are $50,000, $100,000, and $50,000Last edited: Jul 2, 2021

Here’s a hint. Insurance companies do not determine who is at fault. The law does. An insurance company declaring you 50% at fault is their way of not having to pay anything. It’s NOT a legal statement. It’s their opinion, given wupith their best interest in mind, not yours!
The_Great_Corn, RocketScott and Solo Soul Thank this. -
If you got no police report, and no injuries, as long as the other driver is not claiming an injury, it will be between his insurance company and yours to come to a balanced agree on what each should pay, another words if one insurance company says we'll my insured is 60% fault and the other says no my insured is only 40% fault generally they come to agreement on the body shop estimate , they collaborate with the body shop and come to an agreement of sorts, some of which is a trade-off like aftermarket body parts in lieu of oem parts where legal. Now if your talking injury being claimed by the other party, than get a lawyer. You mention no injury or claims of injury thus I mention vehicle damages. Many have stated uncontrolled intersection and they are correct, the vehicle on the right has the right of way.
Solo Soul Thanks this.
