Failed drug test, meth, weed, crack? OP didn't say, but either way, you knew you shouldn't have been partaking, and now an accident, at fault or not, you just gave a bunch of folks another reason to say everyone with a CDL is using something. I would not be surprised if the post test results are turned over to the local LEO's, you may get lucky an they do not prosecute for being DUI drugs. Your info was sketchy, but I would consult an Attorney before you post anything else.
I messed up big

My trucking job is not a jail sentence. I more than just enjoy it. It saved my life and now gives me a chance to see places and do things I only dreamed of. There once was a time when drugs and alcohol were a living jail sentence for me. I wonder if the OP feels free and happy about his own drug use now?

You are done

Don't worry about him are her that is some one looking for attention, pattyj Thanks this.

And another first time poster is tried, convicted and executed and without even hearing the circumstances surrounding his failed test. How about that.
Badmon, G13Tomcat, Blackshack46 and 2 others Thank this. -
Zero tolerance is what is expected of me. I know it every day. Can you describe a situation in which the OP is not to blame? Serious question.

I don't know if any over the counter meds would make you pop positive or not, but that's a possibility. His post reads as though it's more of a recreational thing than an accidental positive to me.
I don't condemn him. Young guy probably, devil may care attitude, but the devil did care this time around. God opens doors, and He closes doors. And great care should be taken not to pry open the ones He has closed.
Maybe this isn't the OP's destiny. And the reason could be anything, certainly nothing I know of from his one post.Blackshack46, BigBob410, wore out and 5 others Thank this. -
... add to the fact that the OP hasn't posted again and by the looks of it, hasn't even logged back on since.
I assume this is a troll post, but IMO, it ruffles feathers enough to start a discussion, so why not roll with it...pattyj Thanks this. -
I agree; follow through with SAP and hang onto your CDL.
Some company will hire you after SAP.Bithlotony Thanks this. -
Trucking for me is a absolute joy and way of life that for what we had back then at cruise and no computer anywhere making music with that Cat.... and 300 miles to go until morning light.
I have fought pain management's failures in the last several months, I have felt both the imprisonment made by medicines that are excessive and I have tasted the freedom without such but also the problems that will not stop the rest of my life. I know somewhere in some small way I fight for my life because two to three particular people depend on it. So there is that. IF Im gone, they will be lost. And that is not acceptable to me.
