If I had a flat bed I would be parking it and renting a different trailer. I’m loaded up on vans and have recently rented a significant amount of reefers before they are gone and there are no more.

let me explain. I have 95% vans. I’ve parked 50% of those and rented 50% reefers because I’m concerned I won’t be able to get any and that’ll be the only segment hopping. If I ran flatbed I would be ####ting bricks. To confirm my theory on that, I called up a buddy who leases onto a small flat bed outfit. Rest of the week of loads have been cancelled he says.

Now.. I have noticed that the administration is striking a much more optimistic tone today and says they want the country back to work by Easter. This all may end up being much less horrible then most have thought, but it’s still not going to be rainbows and butterflies.

Post over in my $5/mi thread next time. lol

I see rates up on some lanes I run . Nothing crazy but them $2 lanes are up .20 to .25 . Not sure how long some of these rates will hold but at least we are working. Fuel down .50 cents and rates up .20 is ok for me , might stay out a extra week at this point .
