I'd love not to answer messages on my break, but somehow all my qualcomm messages are set to beep until answered. I'm gonna have to fix that soon.
Sealed Walmart load, I couldn't play with it at all, and it was over 4000 pounds heavy on the nose with the tandems sucked all the way in at like 38! I've run into a couple of loads that make me wonder what the problem was. Lowe's loads everything heavy to the rear of the trailer, so you have to run with the tandems back if you can.
Talked to some other drivers today, and ir seems like Knight is allowing them to overload their trailers for some reason, turns out I'm not the only one that has had this problem. It's the "cheap freight" theory or the company will allow anything to go because it's going to wallyworld.
I really like Knight Transportation

Can anybody tell me what the KC terminal is like? Is it a good terminal to work out of?

Turn down the volume button. -
You know that doesn't do anything for the beeps! -
If not, you got a bad Qcom! -
Sad Panda put tape over the speaker. I covered mine and still heard it, just kept on building up the layer. Ten or so will do the trick. You'll hear it but it won't wake you up that way. Ever been awoken only to be told it's raining 2000 miles away at your home terminal and to slow down ? Used to happen to me all the time. I have never heard of a "reminder" beep though.

This is a reminder.
Sorry, DNA --- I couldn't resist.

Update for enquiring drivers. My judgement, after only two months, mind you, is that Knight is not a bad company to work for. In my opinion, two months time does not provide enough information to draw a detailed picture. Even so, with my input juxtaposed with other's, perhaps you can gather enough information to help you decide if Knight is right. They do keep you running. I am averaging slightly under 3k miles per week. Not bad. The pay is mediocre. My average gross is about 1050 per week. They do not have enough trailers. The driver is the one who eats this with his own time; usually unpaid. I really have a problem with only having three batteries and then being penalized for idling. I received a notice on my Qual Com about an eight year driver who was terminated for fuel abuse. They really should provide us with the standard four batteries though I doubt that batteries were the only problem with this person. Dock time is a bit more with this company than I am accustomed to overall. The staff at all of the terminals have been helpful and friendly. The equipment is good. The trailers are good too. The shop personell seem to be professional and in good standard. All in all, I would reccommend Knight to the driver who actually stays with a company. Don't bother working here if short term income is your main goal. The income must be seen in light of a long term commitment to justify passing up other oportunities that provide more attractive pay stubs, but little else beyond that...
8it and AfterShock Thank this. -
