Ifta question

I always thought ifta was july 1st to june 31st.

 

your thinking of hvu tax (irs 2290).... ifta is fuel tax due jan 1 must have the new idta sticker on the truck before feb 28

 

How about your plates? you could have got a temp permit from them to get you there

 

Mercer will give you their IFTA stickers. You will not have to renew yours

A valid 2015 IFTA license and two IFTA decals from an IFTA member jurisdiction (if a renewal application has been filed for 2016).
So basically, if you haven't applied yet you have no IFTA after 12pm.

Please be advised that IFTA License Renewals for 2016 MUST BE FILED WITH YOUR BASE JURISDICTION BEFORE THE END OF 2015. The two-month grace period is for display of renewal credentials, not to file your renewal application for those credentials.

 

I would think that this weekend since his authority is still in effect, and basically he is still operating under his authority technically, that even if he does encounter an open scale, unless he were to be checked and opened his mouth and spilled the beans I doubt there would be any way to check the status of a IFTA status. But in Alabama from Montgomery , no scales. Tenesseee would be the only problem but unlikely
Otf it becomes a concern. You could get temp fuel permits from comdata in a few minutes. You can usually get temp IFTA anytime, vangtransport is correct , under the strict sense they do expire at midnite.

 

Also, you must cancel your IFTA account with Alabama, if not you will get like a 50 dollar fine for each quarter. And you probably won't know until you try to reapply for IFTA, Ga lightened my pockets once
