    I take Home about 1,000 a week locally hauling fuel but have never seen a OTR gig pay 1500 take home a week. If they do they are few and far between

    Well there’s the first problem. I never said take home. Everyone’s taxes are different. I was using gross pay. Also health insurance varies from company to company and each persons needs. Plus some people lie and say they aren’t married so therefore the “girlfriend and her kids” get welfare and the man doesn’t have to pay for family coverage then.

    Back on the road after a great home time. Running solo til Thursday. In Troy AL right across the street from a Troy State campus unloading tires. Then off to Mobile for a load of rubber going to Texarkana tomorrow.

    Noob is very noob.

    Much work ahead.

    Did okay first day. Going to find whoever runs the trucking school he went to and punch them in the mouth.

    He has a decent attitude and just needs time to acclimate and relax into the job. I think he'll be fine.

    Great. Does he have the ability to listen and comprehend? Your feeling toward the trucking school is understandable. Unfortunately, I think most of them probably suck.

    Yeah they mostly yelled at him and didn't teach him much of anything.

    He needs to work on "listen and act immediately" as we had a couple of close calls today when he thought through what I was telling him to do before acting. But overall I think he did okay. He's pretty overwhelmed. I expect he'll do better tomorrow. He's so tense it's affecting his driving.
