    Hello,

It's been a while since I've been on the Truckers Report forum, and I don't think I've ever been on the oilfield trucking forum. Anyway, I have been off the road for a while doing some local work and some non-CDL work, but I am thinking about getting into oilfield work. I don't want to drive OTR. I want to make serious money. I want to not commute long distances to do a local trucking job in my town.

I saw an ad for Royal Oilfield Services in Odessa, TX. The pay they offered sounds decent for introductory work and there's plenty of hours! Good. How good is Royal? I'm not familiar with any oilfield service companies.

I really don't like hot weather, so I am also thinking about looking at other parts of the country besides the Permian Basin. What about the Bakken Oilfield? Illinois Basin? North Slope in Alaska? What companies should I look at for entry level work?

It’s plenty hot in west Texas. Was out there for a year in 2017. 108 was hottest I saw. Don’t know anything about other areas. Best of Luck
