I have a fuel shutoff switch in my pickup. Not for security reason.

I used to (25 years ago), use 2 relays for a security system.

Any door switch hood or trunk was the trigger. An Abloy barrel lock armed/disarmed. End user of voltage was the horn.

Simple and cheap - thieves would have to quickly disconnect horn or batteries, to silence.

I installed the Abloy barrel in the usual door lock position - and utilized central locking for access.

    Discreet, cheap. Worked well.

Kill switch to coil ground as backup.

Just get a manual shift truck. No one will steal it.

Something with fuel pump circuit. You could crank it all day.

I'm betting you were the kinda guy to walk around with a coil wire in your pocket. Or unplug hei. Best anti theft.

Just pull fuese in battery box. Wanna get tricky, have a spare fuse, cut one blade of and reinstall. Looks the same. And no criminal is gonna try to trouble shoot one to steal.

On big trucks the parking brake is just a heavy spring that holds the shoes to the drum. You just need to insert a bolt, usually included on each canister, and crank them to release the brakes to freewheel. Isn't instant though.
