Correct. But that's not the point. Yes if you choose to be micro managed by s company with an inward camera that is your prerogative..if that's what makes you happy.

We do not have inward facing cameras.
-
Yea as we've said before, the camera has inward facing capabilities but is not activated. If it was, they wouldn't have told drivers to cover the lens. But you know, people that don't work here know more than we do like always. The only thing we choose to do is a drive a companies truck free of charge.
-
The micromanagement people have issues with...co's hire adults but want to treat them like children...many get offended and irritated by that...
-
You can always make the choice and work for a company that doesn't utilize cameras. They are primarily there to protect the company from drivers who text and other things and get in wrecks and cost them money. Maybe if trucks made themselves a hard target for lawsuits and such, maybe companies wouldn't be so quick to protect themselves. Blame the ones before you that couldn't just do the job and the ones after you that still can't.

let me make it clear. .many folks don't like their hand held this is what is wrong with this new generation of workers...they want their hand held and told which way to go and how to do it...many folks find that insulting...if someone can't do their job without someone constantly telling them how to do it, then that's a joke...it's real simple, let people know what needs to be done and let them do it..that's what im talking about
-
Exactly, if it's that bad they shouldn't have the job in the first place.
Worse thing to happen was doing away with the driver committee interview/process before getting hired
I really despise the dumbing down to the lowest common denominator. All this nanny crap on trucks now, and drivers are in general worse than ever. More wrecks, more stupid mistakes etc....foggy, MilkyJay and drvrtech77 Thank this. -
Remember when we didn't have cell phones & gps & had to call a customer on the payphone for directionsslim6596 and drvrtech77 Thank this.
-
Yeah, everyone was bellyaching on the CB for local directions because they could figure out the fundamentals of how an address works.
Anywhere else people would get fired if they needed someone else to do their job!
-
I understand what you mean. For example if they need dedicated drivers to pull a load from here, they have to get the trailer inspected by a manager before leaving and upon returning. If i had to do that, i would absolutely be insulted. Some things myself and others can deal with and other things are just appalling.
