We delivered the load on 2-24-23 and pod was texted within 15 min of delivery . Today our factoring co notified us that 300 short from 3k was due to paperwork received late . We called main office and lady from accounting provided same information and direct line of the agent . I got ahold of the agent describing the issue and he promised to get back to me . Never answered phone after even once but sent me email , after arguing back and forth i provided screenshot of the proof texting pod in time ... He is still denying receiving it and showing me differed screenshots from his phone .
Any ideas ?!

So you delivered it 2/24 but didn't invoice it until 3/5 or 3/7? Some brokers have a policy on billing that requires you to invoice them right away.
A lot of brokers have pit falls to catch you on to reduce the amount they owe you. (fees)
I wouldn't hold your breath for the $300...put them on your DNU and move on. Unless you want to go to court over $300Rideandrepair and Siinman Thank this. -
I know a lot of brokers request pod within 24-48 hours ... But i make invoices once a week or two ... First time got deducted even though i sent pod in time ... Just dishonest brokers agent
Rideandrepair and Evil_E Thank this. -
I would file on the brokers bond. The bond company will figure it out.
Good lucknikmirbre, Rideandrepair, God prefers Diesels and 4 others Thank this. -
Bad Business. Book another with them and cancel at the last minute. Explain that the Office informed you they short paid you without cause. Sorry can’t work for you anymore. Company Policy. Rules are rules.

You deal with an agent, sent in proof of delay due to receiving being full, and that they’ll pay $500/day for you to sit.
That guy doesn’t put your time into computer, main office won’t bill even with time written and signed off on, because it’s not in computer.
I still haul his loads, but they still pay $5+/mile, but i refuse to write detention down now, since I’m owed $2000 in detention, i feel they got it, and won’t pay, in the long run it’s cost them more.
(Judge, they don’t take detention money)
Yeah, most don’t, but they take 10% of everything except FSC, and that’s only paid on some loads, some are “included in freight rate” but he’s got good loads and bad ones, so you got to know figures.
And they’re a 30 day to pay.Last edited: Apr 25, 2023
