Yep! 6 weeks. No open trucks. Had a driver for every one they had. 150 trks.. All full. The new trks finally came in and they issued me a new one instead of a senior hand getting one.

But that was Lone Star Milk that gave you the new truck right? Jabber is thinking IRT took 6 weeks to find you a truck...

It's not going to work out very well doing what we do. There will be a lot of empty trucks because a lot of guys will quit. New guys won't stay around long because they won't be making enough money. Those that stay will no longer be able to operate the way they have been. Big changes will have to be made to the way the loads are planned and booked or we will lose a lot of customers because our on time delivery percentage will be in the toilet. All the waiting we do at shippers and receivers must come to an end and it will have to do so quickly. If not, we're screwed. There will be no more tearing out log sheets and rewriting history, but that was absolutely necessary in order for us as a company to do things the way we do. Changing all of that is going to be disastrous. I dont know how much longer I'm going to stick with IRT with the way things are now, but I do know the end is near. I can feel it.

please correct me if i'm wrong, don't you have to issue pamphlets about how to use the ELD when you have them? I thought my previous companies had mentioned that

well for when DOT wants to go through your device and read your logs as opposed to having the paper copy faxed to them

Companies that use elogs have those available, but you're responsible for obtaining one if you don't have one. Mine was in my permit book when I got this 579.
