IRT was very liberal with us, as long as we p-u/delivered on time.
We'd stop at the casinos, etc, but still we were on time.
And we were some of the faster trucks on the road, and often ran in pairs.
Used to be a lot of old timers there, good, experienced drivers.

That poor driver....
You do know that there is a knob that controls the temperature coming out of the vents? To the left is cold, to the right is hot. You can actually turn that knob. Yes, that's right.....it turns. Try it out. Fine tune the temperature! -
When I worked there Indian river and North American worked side by side. At the end of my Orientation class guys were asked and or picked to go with IRT or North American. IRT still could not go to Tropicana.
I do not know at what point Indian river dropped the North American name on the door.
The only difference then between the two was the name on the door, the day you got paid and Tropicana. -
Yea I was there then. Started at NATL and ended up at IRT. No difference between the 2.
