The amount of times I see facility staff leaning over open manholes wearing ballcaps, sunglasses, ear pods or playing with their phones I am not surprised more stuff like that doesn't happen.
The few times I have been asked to climb up with a dipper ladle to grab a sample fills me with dread that it is going to slip out of my hand.Speed_Drums, Nashville, Gearjammin' Penguin and 1 other person Thank this. -
Times like those I long for an APU.
The trick I use to keep cool is to crank the bunk AC before I know I am pulling in. I keep the bunk curtains closed which keeps the cold air in.
When I pull in and shut down I also keep the cab windows closed then I jump in the back, strip down to my shorts and a Tee, fire up my 12V fan and stay back there with the bunk curtains closed for the duration.dwells40, Speed_Drums, Nashville and 2 others Thank this. -
