They’ve changed it a few times over the years. Currently, I think it’s 90 minutes per day for personal use, and for Ag Exempt it’s a 150 mile radius around the dairy farms.

The cancer awareness mud flaps have been around for a few years. I think all of the newer trucks have them. It’s not team truck related that I’m aware of. The new truck I moved into last November has them, and I’m a solo driver.

Cool, the reason I asked is because the two trucks that passed me doing 76mph on flat ground when I was with Cypress had those so I was just wondering.

Teams are usually assigned new trucks, which is understandable considering they generate more revenue and put double the miles on an odometer each year than solo drivers do.

From what I remember hearing at IRT, teams drive them to about 200-250k miles and then get a brand new one. They don't like to rack up the miles on them too quickly so they'll give it to a solo driver after the first 200k or so.

They’ve bought a large batch of new trucks every year that I’ve worked here except for one, and that was during the heart of the Covid pandemic when Peterbilt and other truck manufacturers were having production issues due to the availability of parts to build them with. I’m actually not even certain that IRT skipped buying any that year, but that was the hearsay. They spec them out nice, too. Factory refrigerator, factory power inverter with wall outlets and screened / tinted windows in the sleeper, etc is the norm over here. This one that I got in November has buttons on the steering wheel for the cruise and stereo, too. It makes life on the road a lot easier.

In orientation 5 years ago I was told 3 hrs per day, if it has changed I haven't heard anything about it. The only time I would get close to that limit is using it under Agricultural Exemption.

I was reading an article recently that said you could use PC to go back to a terminal if you were going home after you got empty. This differs from what I previously understood. I hope it's true as that would help with trip planning if I don't need to have drive time available on my home loads.
