Been two years since I started LTL. Still trying to get on board with FxF. Either they are not hiring in my area or they have much more stringent standards than out east. Those guys are pretty nuts. They will run triples through a snowstorm. Our carrier has been playing it safe and won't triple us if there is even a hint of snow.
I envy those guys. They pass us all the time. I was kinda reluctant at times. I rarely saw their trucks in the summer time, right now I see more of them than any other LTL carrier on the road.

We usually don't play around we get it done. www.fedex.com. Go to careers at the bottom of website to see if they r hiring in your area.
-
Looks like they got a city position open in my area... gonna wait it out some more when a road driver position opens. thanks.
-
Yeah, we can see that..... when you guys are in the ditch.
I swear I think the #1 reason for FedEx new openings is they are looking to replace the guy that rolled over or rear ended 17 cars.
It's probably true, since their turnover is so low.road_runner Thanks this. -
No kidding. I've seen quite a few of people in the ditch for going way to bloody fast when the roads were ice packed. Usually when I see this I look for a job opening to see if the driver that rolled was from my local area.

I got 18 + year under my belt no accidents I run up north can't speak for what u have seen in your young career but accidents happen no matter what name is on the side of the truck.
-
Road position don't usually come open to new hires because there is a line of city drivers itching for the road position

Fedex is notorious for ditch visits, regardless of it's fleet size. And a lot has to do with how you guys are pushed on your cut times, which I think is ridiculous.
-
Triples are illegal in wintry conditions. And yes, FXF is notorious for hammering down in all conditions.Used to see it all the time on Donner, everyone chugging away in the granny lane, but here comes the Freight boys hammering down with chains a clanking

They pays us to get freight to point A to point B with the first priority is safety
