So far so good/bad. Miles haven't been too bad(1700 on slow week/2700 on better week/no good wks yet), all miles are paid at regular rate no matter if bobtail/deadhead/loaded(they are all short from actual though), FM's (fleet manager/dispatch) vary wildly from what I've heard, home time has been right on (with reminders to FM), dispatched loads can take a long time to get (typically an hour, as long as 14 hours), service at terminals is ridiculous (2 hours to replace mud flap/18 hours for PM service), equipment problems (usually trailers that another driver dropped with problems so next driver has to deal with). Training month is kind of a joke unless you get a trainer that is worried that he/she may run into you on the road and wants to really get you trained(I got lucky and got a good trainer). Company policy IS that trainer trucks run as a team truck. Trucks are limited to 62/63 MPH, so pick your passing opportunities wisely.

Dosen't sound to bad,i have heard worst about others companies. How long were you with their company trainer and how did you hook up with him. I am suppose to start with them after my training.

Just ask panhandle. He drives for them. He ought to be home any month now!

Texas is a good place to try and pass. That is a long stretch of highway. -
Training time is 4-6 weeks. My time was 26 days. 4 wks is the standard unless you hit something while you're out, then it's 6 weeks. Trainer called me on the phone and asked for directions. He came and picked me up, but then again I live between his house and the terminal which is only 30 minutes away. If you don't live near a terminal, they will try and meet you at the nearest place that has truck parking.
Texas is a good place to pass, or any state with steep hills and a heavy load. -
What has been your bring home pay on average?
-
Thanx for the info
-
Lowest take home pay has been around 350 for hometime week and 800 for a pretty good week. Average has been 600.

Thank you very much sir.I will be starting the drivers solutions training in about a month.
