I had my final check up for a full clearance yesterday from my torn shoulder muscle. Well the Dr. and my case manager told me that if I have any problems with that shoulder that within two years then my former company is on the line for it. I have never did any workers comp my entire life so didn't know if this was usual or not but glad it's out there for me.
Interesting workers comp info

I worked in litigation for quite awhile. If you ever do need to initiate a lawsuit for workers comp, do not go with the tv -better call Saul- lawyers.
Look for a large, established corporate law firm in your area, go for a consultation (not free) and go from there.
It's the difference between being handled like one of 10000 clients and having a professional actually working with and for you.TROOPER to TRUCKER and NavigatorWife Thank this. -
Thats great! Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

Actually the company did me wrong about a lot of things. But when I was injured on the yard I immediately got the best shoulder dr in Charlotte and a great case agent. I was paid all of my miles to the dr and therapy for 5 months etc. Maybe they thought I was going to sue themNavigatorWife Thanks this.

My brother had his right hand crushed between 2 rolls of steel years ago(worked at a fabrication shop for car parts, all but 2 bones had multiple fractures). In his settlement, he has lifetime coverage on that hand AND if he ever has to leave that company or was demoted because he could no longer do his job, they had to cover the difference between what he was earning when the accident occured, and what a different job paid, with adjustment for cost of living increases. Even if it was being a greeter at Wally, he was guaranteed that he always had a paycheck. Small price to pay for losing 25% use of his hand, he had all it's parts, but they didn't work like they should.

Yes. They were scared you'd sue.
And if it comes down to it, sue.
