Grr.... awful week. 5 days and 1600 miles. Wasted 7+ hrs getting loaded at C&H Sugar in Crockett. Now sitting 20 hrs waiting to deliver and THEN putting truck in shop for an air leak (still legal). Most of today and tomorrow wasted. And to top it off, pulled in for weight check at every open weigh station from Sacramento to Tacoma.

Thank goodness for Google Earth.... address to receiver was on a "no trucks allowed" street. Found the entrance/docks on the next street over. If I'd tried to drive to address, it would have been a mess..

Even though the Oregon permit shows an expiration date of 123113, should we the driver be calling Oregon to confirm the permit is valid each week I wonder?

Scotty, call permits department (fuels?) and verify. My permits showed 12/31/13 but I just had to update because I'd changed from WA plates to OR plates.
scottied67 Thanks this. -
Ive got the ODOT permit also good till 12/31/13, but I've never called to verify. Hope your company reimburses you for having false documents in your permit book, and without letting you know of the changes, which I blame your company.Last edited: Oct 26, 2013

Just curious: I've been getting a lot of "local jobs" lately (always on the road, IE Denver, LA etc) with the crappy local pay of $13/hr. Anyone else getting this junk? I mean shouldn't a drivers local pay be his mileage pay x 58 (roughly what you drive per hr)? Based upon 13/hr that .22 per mile or so. I wouldn't get outta bed for that.
luvtotruck Thanks this.
