Sure they tested ; they tested ON YOU - the International trucking community. Now they get a fine of 30 million. So they get to keep all the rest. Follow the money. How much IS "all the rest?" Freedom of Information request, or Google, should give total sales volume/units sold per year. Look at the numbers, and you will soon realize this is just another slap on the wrist for Big Business. Good point above by Special K about bankruptcy, or the human aspects on this fraudulent behavior. There are other aspects like that, drivers laid off, contracts cancelled, loads to go - with no truck, etc.
I can only speak for Fleetstars, Loadstars, S-Lines, 9300's, 9400's, 9900i's and Paystar 5600i and 5900i's and they were the best trucks I have ever been in. Problem now is everyone got scared off by the Maxxforce fiasco, and in my opinion the Cummins isn't a whole lot better choice. Wish I could get a new International with a DD Detroit. Or the ultimate.....an old Cat.
Ya can fix a Cummins tho far from perfect ya can't fix stupid lol ..or junk . Remember all the great cars GM put 5.7 diesels in ? That's the maxxforse .
Well, the damage was done, but what will make or break International now is how well the A26 will do and what VW will bring to the table. As far as Cummins, been talking to some guys running the new X15 and so far it is better than the ISX, BUT they're still new, so we'll see how it goes.

Wow…They have been sued for fraud multiple times in other jurisdictions. When are they going to get a clue? I guess when people stop actually paying them to lie to consumers.
The issue here is the EPA. They should be the ones getting sued. Kinda tells you something when every engine manufacturer is having issues and they all have had law suits filed against them. The EPA rushed them to all meet these ridiculous regulations without sufficient time to test and develop technologies.
