Blue-Dev. I don't know what to tell you. I make $800-1000 AFTER tax. On a bad week I make $500. I can tell you I run the truck as thou it was mine. As if I am an O/O. Which meens that if I am sitting I am not making any money. I run the 48 except NYC. I call my DM ever two hours to check in and see what is going on till they give me a load. If i have run a couple of short runs I tell him it's time for a long one and i won't do any more short ones. Ever Monday when I call my Dm I tell him what I though of the last week. If it sucked I tell him. Can't do that again. If it was ok I tell him. Was ok but we can do better. if it was good I tell him. It was good lets keep it that way. I remind them that I can run 3500 miles a week easy. 4000 if we have to. So if the truck is not making a profit. They can ask someone else why. Cause it's not me. This puts it on THEM to keep the truck running and making a profit. I run 4 weeks out at a time and they have that long to make a profit. I can run 14,000 miles in that time if they will give me the miles.

As for your question on the payroll it is all the same. You do have to wait a couple of days after they pay you to get any info. Glitvh with the Comp. if you can get it call payroll and talk with them.

It's the company. I ran 1/2 the miles and doubled the paycheck that Knight payed with the company I run for now.

So you are making .68 cent a mile? What do you haul Nuclear waste?:biggrin_25525:

Bait? Some drivers don't want to be on the road for weeks at a time or be forced to run loads that aren't worth it, or drive crappy equipment. And will take less per mile to be home more. It must work for at least 3500 drivers and if you go by their terminals you don't see rows of unused trucks laying around.

They may not be for me and you but I hardly see it as what you described as just bait. It's what their drivers signed on for.

If you want to see if they got around to actually paying you, you must log on to the company website. You must get your ID from your terminal.

Word of advice: FIND ANOTHER COMPANY AS FAST AS POSSIBLE!!!

Your husbands miles are much better than most of the drivers. This will last about another 2 weeks. Typically, during the 3 month of probation from date of hire, the new drivers' (like your husband) miles will be cut even more to give to newer drivers!!!

Understand? It's a shell game with Knight.

Knight will continue to lower the driver miles until they say something. If the driver says something, then they tell them a prepared line of BS that everyone else in in the same condition. NOT TRUE.

Knight does not have good tractors. They are almost done getting rid of the good Peterbuilts and have only the poorly maintained Volvo 660's.

Not sure what terminals you went by, but MOST of the terminals have tractors sitting all the time!!

Ever stop and think that Knight runs about 3500 tractors and there are maybe a dozen whiners on this board? Knight is what it is, but it's not a bad company.

I got 13000 miles in May (home now), 2700 in the last week. (edit) (Last 4 days) True, there have been months when I got much less than that, but that is trucking.

Would you like some cheese with that wine?
