i was filling my DEF tank today and just wondering if this stuff or the fumes are flammable. i always shut the truck off while filling it. i was thinking this stuff is basically synthetic urine, urine doesnt burn.

This is correct. DEF is NOT flammable.

I exclaimed "Hold my beer and watch this y'all" -

Proceeded to intersect my neighbors cows urine stream with a lighter . . .

No You Tube videos have surfaced.

You're all good. Your assumptions of non-flammability are correct.

You should watch how you phrase things.
The sentence "Flammable but corrosive notice the plastic tanks" suggests that it is flammable.

The period should have come after the word flammable, not after the word not.

It looks scary, it makes white stains, and it smells like cow ####. I learned in these forums about DEF, but in training we are scared into being cautious with it because they don't want us dumping DEF into the fuel tanks.

From what I have heard from trainers at my company, they have stopped numerous trainees from trying to DEF the diesel tank. lol

Probably made up stories to scare the rookies.
