I think I called them a few weeks back and their pay seemed very low. I think to start it was .48 between us ; I asked a few times and yes, she said it was something like that.
Is it time to move on?

If your gonna run team do it.
There's no starting over with a husband and
Wife team.
You'll start out right at the top
Of the pay scale, with a brand new truck
and you two will have
500 companies trying to hire you.x1Heavy Thanks this. -
You should get a brand new rig with like 50 miles on the ODO. Everything in that rig will be in order before you turn a wheel.
You have opportunities as a team going in this industry that most people probably will sweat 10 or more years and never see. And yes .48 split is too low. Wife and I was paid by FFE .75 give or take to the truck in 2001. The reality of the gross income versus number of days out and the work done became apparent that winter in cold figures. But we managed to get away with it. Im glad for that year together in the end. -
You click on the person's user name and in the box that pops up, you click "start a conversation."...............

Welcome to the wonderful world of union "employment". Frankly, it's a little late in life to be climbing that ladder for him. He'd be better off getting a real job in the real world with a non-union shop.

We are coming to that conclusion.

I’d honestly bail out and go to ODFL. That on call deal is awful.
