You're still young to be a trucker. Go in any truck stop and look at all the gray hair. Many drivers start this career in their 70's and are successful.
Just on this forum you'll find many former IT people that changed careers and are now truckers.
Now, get busy and see the country!

Do you want a private cdl school, community college/tech cdl school, trucking company in-house cdl school?

I'm 48, have had 2 previous careers (20 years cooking, 5+ construction) and I'm looking to start before the end of summer/early fall. Go for it.

 

Gray hair is the stress I'm 28 and already getting gray hair from it lol

 

As long as anyone can pass the physical, there is no age limit in trucking.

 

57 is young.

Know nothing about IT, except my youngest son just graduated college with a 4 yr degree in the IT field and is struggling to find a job. I retired after almost 29 years in my former career and I’m 54 years young and loving OTR. Go for it and good luck!
