Trucks do rock,I just don't want to live in a 9x6 box. And for truck stops thats all good too if you like a bunch of dirty stinky drivers that know everything. Lol
is local worth it ?

Well the nearest local jobs are 70 miles from my house and a 140 mile daily commute isn't happening. I'm only out 4 or 5 days at a time and thoroughly enjoy my job. To each their own I guess.

I bid a yard slot in 2011 and you will be whipping wagons of all sizes into doors with precision after about a week. The funny part was how hard hooking sets with a truck was when you were used to the Ottawa. It was like trying to throw a ball with your off hand.

I agree with you 100%, I now laugh at them, when i get the urge to hit the road I'll do it on my vacation.jamesgang and Marksteven Thank this.

Not sure how you figure that? You are not looking in the right places. I run 276 miles a day and gross 1400-1450 a week, but I guess local is a huge pay cut?
jamesgang Thanks this. -
You should see the one my company has in Detroit, backing a trailer every 3 minutes in the snow like a maniac.
