Is there a speed limit when using axle interlock?

The power divider does impact turning, two drive axles pushing the same direction while required to have the same sum of tire RPMs fights the steers more.

It is painfully obvious while backing on ice but I had a turn on my dump route today right off the lot. I had to have the power divider in to get up to the road but had to do multi-point turns if I forget to disengage once on the road.

It was warm this slick, like fall on your ### slick if you walked on it but the effects are very real.

The location was actually in the picture on the last page.

That is a cul-de-sac, and I had to back into the spot behind the honey bucket on the right with a 5 axle dump, coming out that line of cars was what I would have hit with the power divider in.

The inter axle lock is good for a number of purposes specially if you driving on dirt roads I run 193 tonne road trains across about 20 km of dirt road so will turn my inter axle lock on the moment I turn onto the dirt roads for better traction, also if your pulling up a steep hill/mountain once the speed drops below about 40 km per hour / 25 mph I'll engage the inter axle lock, or if you going up snow/ ice covered roads switch your inter axle lock on along with chaining up if required.

Yep, already twice while turning into a driveway, had the steers turned where I wanted to go and the drives powered the tractor straight Almost pushed me off into the ditch twice.

My 2 new w990s automatically disable the interlock after 25mph..... I use only on snow and occasionally in mud. Older trucks I'd be running maybe 45-50 with it but these new ones I noticed the other day when driving thru NV mtns on about snow it shut off as soon as I hit 26 mph. Didn't expect that .. but oh well

As a snowbelt driver, I used the PD a lot when hooking and unhooking in muddy/snowy/icy drop lots, and when snow was heavy on the roads, at least for starting going (make sure you are coasting when you turn it off. Also, once had to get up a snowy mountain in Vermont using the PD.
When bobtailing in snowy or just wet conditions, I kept the PD lock on.
