Is there any practical use for a trolley break?

I hang a weighted bag on the jake brake to check brake lights and for air actuated leaks.

Nothing wrong with that. My post was responding to the supertruckers who were talking about using trolley brakes down mountains only, to save their tractor brakes.

 

Wakes the nieghbors at zero mph while doing his pre trip. Haha

 

Huh? I don't roll until the trailer is legal. So, It works very well.

I had that thought when studying brakes in the cdl manual. I’m at a truck stop 3am doing Pretrip and the lot is full of truckers sleeping... then all the sudden I test my brakes... BLEEESH BLEESH BLEEESH!!!! Rise and shine y’all!
