Looks like a scam that is even more cynical from those UCR fillers. What can they possibly possibly teach you, how to pick up a phone and start calling places that ship goods? In my youth, I was naive enough and went to a sales course at a local hotel - free admission, but after they wanted my to buy their textbooks which looked like thick brochures for over $200 - it was early 90s - like a soldier I did about face and off I went.

 

Lots of brokers get thier freight from a larger brokerage like XPO. They never have to do the cold call shuffle.

 

Yeah a bunch of scam artist out in CA love to do this, but they call everyone who posts a load, and the pretend to be a carrier, then double broker the freight and dont pay the delivering carrier in full. Any "real" broker getting loads from XPO arent making enough to justify all of the headaches involved in moving it....
