Is your dispatcher allowed to make a driver take a trailer to the shop knowing it has a flat tire?

    Here's the deal: You can pull the trailer a few miles with one flat tire, and as long as you aren't really heavy, you should be fine. Go in, get a new tire, and be on your way in less than an hour!

    OR: You can refuse to pull it 1 inch with a flat, and wait 4 hours for a tire truck to come fix you.

    There is a bit of a problem with the question, if you were on the road, I would tell my driver road service, that the truck doesn't move. If I or anyone else asked you to take it to a shop, I would have either fired them or had a stern talking to them about that BS request.

    Road service is there to be used, if the company is too cheap to call it and pay the $1000 for replacing the tire, just imagine how fast they will throw you under the bus when something happens to the trailer.
