I'm sorry, but if these idiots are letting a #### box sitting on the dash tell them that they have to park somewhere unsafe, Bill Engvall needs to spend some time around truckers handing out his sign.

I was down to 7 minutes a few weeks ago, and about 15 minutes short of the truck stops.
However I realized this two hours earlier, and had a plan.Just passing by, Steel Dragon, Hammer166 and 1 other person Thank this. -
If OTR is ever in your future, you'll be wearing one of those signs. Be careful what you wish on others. Karma can be a b###hSteel Dragon Thanks this.

I was reading a post from a new driver the other day who was freaking out whether he could stop before the 6 hour mark to go pee. Somehow he had it in his head he was not allowed to stop at all before the 6th hour because his company limits their drivers to one 30 minute break per day, any break prior to that might call for two 30 minutes breaks.
These drivers who are coming up with the ELD and have never run paper logs are at huge disadvantage in tons of ways. I predict in a couple three years after enough experienced drivers have been replaced by the box trained drivers, that there will be rivers of blood on the highways.bzinger, Studebaker Hawk, Makeajump and 3 others Thank this. -
It's not what I wish on others... it's that I wish there was a tad more critical thinking involved in the decision to park on the shoulder. I don't care how loud that box (or the widget in the desk behind it,) hollers, I'm not parking on the side of an active interstate to take my break. And if your company doesn't grasp that, you need a better company.
And as far as wearing the sign... the last time I really needed that sign involved a woman, and we all know how that can go!lilillill, spyder7723, camerabrat and 5 others Thank this.
