The wait time is just horrendous, and it's a stressful battle trying to get detention from any broker these days... Trucking is really going to hell quick
It's all coming back to me why people quit pulling reefers

I gave up reefers 25 years or so ago. Glad to hear the customers are still crappy and such. Nope right with ya. Screw the reefer game. They are necessary to us all, just not for me.
Coffey, Lumper Humper, 48Packard and 4 others Thank this. -
Americold is the absolute worst, I'm almost to the point of just banning that facility from my radarBlue jeans, Lumper Humper, mrbucbuck and 3 others Thank this. -

Always gratifying when someone posts something most of us have known for years. I pulled a reefer BY THE HOUR, and wouldn't do it any other way.
austinmike, Blue jeans, Opus and 6 others Thank this. -
Dumb appointment times
lumpers
wait forever to get loaded
wait forever to get unloaded
Wait forever in line for trailer wash out
Sleep schedule constantly screwed up
After taking forever at customer you are out of hours, they kick you out and there's nowhere to park at 2am
Shall I go on?
Never doing reefer again.
Rates are not high enough for the the torturegekko1323, austinmike, dwells40 and 16 others Thank this. -
Better put buzzottos on the list too. Hannaford, wakefern the whole lot Lol. The only food warehouse I'll deliver to is G&C foods in Syracuse

I love the reefer fleet I'm leased to and have been here 5 years .
I run dedicated lanes for the same contract customers and make great money .
Never see a grocery warehouse, never talk to Lumpers or brokers , rarely ever go to a shipper or receiver I haven't been to at least 20 times .
Not every reefer company is the same !
Currently under a frozen load from council bluffs ia to americold in York penn that pays 4 grand on 1100 miles plus fsc .
Been there about 100 times and I'll be in and out in under 2 hours .
I'll never go back to flatbed or dry van again and when things tank which I've seen many times in the last 35 years I'll still have freight .Soltaker, austinmike, xlsdraw and 20 others Thank this. -
Lumper Humper, JoeyJunk, 201 and 1 other person Thank this.
