Well first of all I'm on the work 8 hrs with a 16 hr break schedule and rarely drive in the dark .
My free time involves cleaning my truck , maintenance , showers, TV and movies , cold beer , cooking a meal , and putting up or taking down the side kit on my flatbed and of course mandatory ttr time .

I used to run nights until I drop. Then get up and do it again. Might be a few days before I drop again. It's crazy.

There was a guy at the lunch counter who was in the know about hours of service changes on the horizon. Said you know how team driver can be in the front passenger seat up to 2 hours before or after 8 hours in the sleeper to complete their 10 hour break? WEll Solo drivers will be limited to 2 hours of TV, TTR, Computer, Dinner, Shower whatever before or after 8 solid hours in the sleeper. This is why they put cameras and audio in the trucks, to monitor you're not doing anything but sleeping during that 8 hour time.

This guy said DOT is getting serious and is talking about a fed reg to require all truck drivers to have a sleep mask which is tied into the truck so they can know how many actual hours of sleep a driver had that is electronically uploaded everytime you cross a weigh station.

    That's a bit far fetched.

The actual issue no one is addressing is the actual AWAKE time. When you roll your ### out of the bunk in the morning after a good night's sleep your new day may consist of whatever it is they throw at you. The worst ones are that which you sit and wait, wait and wait for hours before suddenly having to go.

Maybe mr in the know might have had a smoke, I want some of what he was smoking....

24" in the crapcadia. All that fits. And a ps4 instead of Xbox. But the rest is the same. I either sleep or I'm not bored before sleep.

In my 8 years I have never had a tv. The extent of my luxuries has been satellite radio
