I once ripped my passenger side mirror off with the trailer backing in to a spot at a TA. Dang slanted pull-through spots are tricky when you're going the wrong direction in a one-way.Sixela918 Thanks this.

How am I backing into either of these places, without a U-turn? I’m in both, nearly everyday.
D.Tibbitt and gentleroger Thank this. -
Multiple point turns. U turns tear up equipment so bad.. I see alot of guys doing u turns when there is no need for it. Same can be accomplished with 3 or more point turns...easier on the equipment.. pull a spread axle for awhile and you will kick the uturn habit after u blow a couple tires... Now i am talking about the really tight u turns like the op tearing off his fairings and ####...couldnt tell you about the yards you posted because i never been there... Everything looks different in real life vs google maps.. Usually smaller in real life so i cant say with accuracy how to get in there because i know nothing about it.. Im not saying you dont have to do them.... That is your choice to do them, but it will never happen in my truck. That is my perspective on it.okiedokie and LtlAnonymous Thank this.

This is one of the places we go a lot. The product we haul in has to go to the lower set of docks. I just say “well they’re not my trailer tires” and spin it around to back in. The second time I went there I tried pulling in toward the upper docks and backing out and around and all the way to the lower dock, but almost got myself in a bind with narrow driveways and curbing. Then I realized that with as many loads as we have going there I doubt anyone else is doing anything other than spinning in a circle in front of the docks.
The trailer in the pic is always there, as are the two roll off dumpsters.

I seen.you offer alot.of good advice to the guys that have problems ..and I commend you.for doing that @D.Tibbitt is another guy that trys to help... and then this OP gets smart with.him .. WTF
They come on here start a thread about how something didn't work out for them and they don't know why and they are asking for help but yet they think they know more than anybody then when guys help them and they don"t get coddled they start lashing out at members that don't pamper them..
So I say F.. em let em attend class in the school of hard knocks like alot of us did
Rant over.Last edited by a moderator: Jun 15, 2023

There are those that genuinely want help, but there’s also a fair amount that ask for help, but what they’re really looking for is for the members to help them justify / rationalize a decision they’ve already made.
I’m not real big on helping the latter.LtlAnonymous, ducnut, wis bang and 2 others Thank this.
