I forgot you worked for Schnieder. Do you run all 48 or do you run dedicated or regional?

As a Schneider veteran, and having talked with former employees who came from JB Hunt, and/or Schneider tanker, I would offer the following:

    1) The training at Schneider is probably better, but Schneider pay will probably be lower.

    2) If you do go to Schneider's tanker group--only do so if they set you up with a DEDICATED ACCOUNT (i.e., pass them by if all you're offered is OTR tanker duty).

Don't misconstrue what I just said--I DID NOT say that JB Hunt's training was bad.

Schneider is known in the industry for more modest paychecks.

Wow - it's like having to choose between a gender reassignment in the back of some dude's van you found on Craigslist or starting a bath salt diet plan. If those are your only two options you need to keep looking.

Schneider - No driver facing cameras. They do get strange with the change on idling though(ie part of your pay is a, "bonus" paid monthly. If you idle your truck every day they'll take your, "bonus").

JB Hunt - They DO have the Only Fans option (driver facing cameras). In my area (PNW) the JB Hunt dedicated jobs seem to pay ~$500/wk less than comparable jobs. I didn't think it was possible to drive 2,800 miles a week, unload a 53' trailer 5x a week with a liftgate and still not break $1,200/wk. That was before Tammy at JB Hunt recruiting called me.

I have an APU and run it at will for heat and A/C. What is up with the freeze and sweat companies.

    1. Hire drivers, pay them nothing, treat them like unwelcome vagrants and then act SHOCKED when no experienced drivers will work for you and your annual driver turnover exceeds 100%.
    2. Form an industry lobbying group (rhymes with, "American Trucking Association"). Complain about an imaginary, "truck driver shortage" and claim the only way to keep trucks rolling is to hire 18 year olds and grant special visas to foreigners to let them come into the country to drive your trucks for a handful of rice each day (provided they produce 2 gallons of quality plasma per day that you can extract and resell).
    3. Profit.

Go on indeed and look for some. There are a lot of good companies that pay much better than those megas and treat you well. I heard abeline is good. Look up s&s in north dakota.

    What state are you in?

Also if someone asks you to send a pic of your license, make sure it’s a reputable company. One time a company asked me for my license and I looked them up, they didn’t even exist. Luckily I didn’t send it.

I think you can find jobs on the main page of this site too.

They get money from the government for their in company schools, hope you fail, then repeat, making a fortune off failure.

When I did OTR at a small company they trained me very well.
