I hope that's what happens with this load.

Yes my clock is running. I'd like to get this load done by January 12th by midnight so I can be paid for it the following week. This load is 1700+ miles. If it delivers after Wednesday, it will go to the next pay period and this pay period will show only about 1300 miles which sucks! Sometimes the cookie crumbles this way though, when I finish a big 1700 mile load on a Thursday, it sets up nicely because I can add to that total by the following Wednesday and really rack up some nice mileage numbers. My DM is always thanking me for my patience lol.

For us it was a matter of it being a holiday weekend the shipping crew was gone and to get it reloaded would have meant we had to wait from Friday 22:00 to Tuesday 07:00. Actually we found pulling the werner trailer hysterically funny. Everytime we pulled into a Swift yard people freaked. Had more drivers on the CB asking about it. I got to where I said we stole it, it followed us home, we were trying to help "Jerry" save money on equipment by picking up loose trailers. I think we laughed almost the entire trip.

I'll bet that had to be funny! Waiting that long would have sucked for certain!

OK so they made a decision. A Swift tractor may not be used to haul another company's trailers. The DM seemed surprised that I would hook to the trailer. "We don't pull other company's trailers", she said with a little laugh. I didn't argue, just asked to have the load voided off me so I dropped the trailer and grabbed my previous empty trailer and went to a nearby truck stop to await a new preplan. Got a little 200 mile load for tomorrow.I was really looking forward to pulling it because of the attention it would draw and comments on the CB etc.

Kinghunter a story is not automatically worthless without photos. Photography is only about 200 years old. But we have stories going back thousands of years which maintain precious value to millions of people around the world- and their are no photos to corroborate those stories. Think about Jesus, Sun Tzu, Crazy Horse or George Washington.

I'm so sorry you lost those miles. And it would have been fun pulling it!

Interesting. We pull Target, Walmart and twice, now, I have pulled outside vendor trailers and one CRST.

I've personally seen our wagons on CRSTs three times and Werners twice.

Your weekend DM must be a rookie.

Hmm, couple of years ago I had a TM tell me that Swift had agreements between JB Hunt, Schnider and Werner that we could pull each others trailers. Might have been something local for the Seattle area (Imods).
