Yea, the title threw me. I had to completed change my answer. I dont know what a "bend park" is. I assume its bending the truck/trailer to back into a space? Ive found over my years when I first started that would happen to me if I didnt give it enough fuel in relation to the force being put against the vehicle (backing uphill, using trailer tandems as pivot point, so on). I now have a truck with a 15 speed. I go into low low 1 and havent had the jerking issue since.

Part of being a member here, is trying to decipher what the heck someone is talking about. If it's a manual, "jerking", or chattering is the result of a warped flywheel. An automatic, I have no clue. "Bend park" must be a regional dialect meaning backing in a dock. What region, I'm not sure.

    Turn off Hill Assist.

Button with truck going up hill with circle around it.

    It’ll come back on automatically.

Since Western Express i’ll assume freightliner

    Oh, ok........nevermind.
But if you’re running super singles, the truck don't like it when you bendy back up. Not much you can do about it other than get a little more straighter.

If your tractor is an automatic and has Hill Start Assist, turn it off while backing. Also, turn off your jake except when you are on the road going forward. There is no need to be a load clueless jerk but many drivers seem to find a way.
