If what you say is correct, then it's really sad. But when they sold to a chain, I figured this would happen.

 

You can have the left turn out of that place, it's a trap!

 

Painted lines? Did they finally pave it? That place was never worth getting a dirty truck for.

 

I agree with you 100% on that stop. I think it's a total #### hole, and the most over rated place in the United States, The Petro west of Cheyenne is AWSOME!!!!
I went into that Johnson's Cornere's once and was like WTF???? Not to mention the moon sized crater chuck holes in the lot, and the 5 mile drive to get on & off the interstate.

 

I remember that place from before the interstate. It was right on the main highway back then...

 

You would think that after being there for 50 years or what ever, that someone would know a guy with a grader. I thought after Petro took it over they'd pave that crap hole. dirt and dust, no easy access, just awful.

 

Johnsons has always been a "B" stop. The fuel price was hit of miss. When it was good, it was the best your going to find.

After the last remodel, the food sort of slipped a bit, but the showers did get better.

When TA/petro people bought it out, it was a few years before they rebranded it. Service startred sliding, the food quality went down with it.

Only reason I continued to stop, was my brother lived 15 mins away.

 

Yeah, you can find the "Johnson's Corners" cinnamon rolls all over now. They just want to suck the money out of it.
