Jury duty

‘Just not answering the summons’, is not a way to ‘get out of jury duty’.
Depending on the jurisdiction where you live, you can get in ‘heap big trouble’, by ignoring a jury summons. Fill it out, be as truthful as possible.

 

I went to the courthouse and explained my OTR situation to the clerk. She took me off of the list.

 

Do what Larry David did when he was summoned for jury duty........anyone??

Did you get a summons, or did you just get something in the mail claiming to be a summons?
If it's just a piece of mail, just ignore it. If it's a summons call and explain that you are an otr trucker. They dealt with it before..

 

Same here, but I didn’t even go in, I just sent them a letter. No worries

 

Same here. We just called in. Often times the period of service was running out of time if we were out on the road when it was sent.

 

Pretend to have a racial prejudice against all races.
I’m from the south so one racial slur gets me out of jury duty forever.
