    Don't fall for scare tactics.. Unless there is proof you got the summons like a registered letter, you didn't get it in the eyes of the court.
    Courts are 99% about a paper trail. No paper trail and it didn't happen.

    Some companies pay for jury duty. Mine did. It was something like $50 a day for 2 1/2 days work a couple of years ago.

    I have JD stand by starting next week. Tried the I'm a truck driver thing before. Here in the wonderful state of CA they just delayed it for 2 weeks so I gave up. Never did have to go in just checked the website daily.

    I got my notice after I was supposed to report.

    Left out on a 3 week tour, notice came sometime during those three weeks. Came home Friday night, found the notice and left out on Monday morning. I called the number mid day, and the clerk said "no problem, you can just report tomorrow instead". I responded "I'm going to be in Arkansas (or whatever), I'll be home in three weeks, do you want to schedule me then?". Haven't gotten summoned since then.

    I did the same thing just ignored it same as my mother who got the letter . i’ve heard that same judges have gone looking for people who have just ignored the a letter wanting them to appear in court with a reason why they didn’t show up for court
