You can do well with USA Truck. It's a good entry level company, and if you treat them with respect, they'll treat you with respect. Makes sure you understand that you won't get home every weekend. Expect every other weekend.

Don't know about Driver Solutons ST. Louis school, but there Indianapolis school is good. I imagine the St. Louis school is just as good.

Hey thanks for the encouraging words. But decided to go to star trucking school and pay for it myself. Maybe it will open a few more doors.

I just finished orientation . They sent me back home , and said " they only have 200 trainers right now . One will come pick me up from my home soon " .
Is this the norm ? I called the number they gave me to call and get a trainer , the lady said they will call me when they find a trainer for me . ( she was rude ) .
I wonder if they think about the ppl they send home to wait for a trainer . I myself am going broke just sitting here wating .

Can anybody out there tell me if this is right ?:biggrin_25521:

I was just looking around at all the different threads and noticed USA Truck and how bad it is blah blah blah. Somebody posted that they seen all these ads about a company and that is why they didn't join them was because they CONSTENTLY ran ads in newspapers employment offices etc. etc. Well I noticed this with USA truck. The add would run everyday it seems like every 45 to 60 min. I noticed this when I was in Mississippi a few months back. I never did contact them because I thought they were another 1 of those outfits that do not hire anybody out of Las Vegas. I heard alot of bad things about this company, but I sincerely hope that it goes well 4 you. Good luck with them

Are you still waiting for a trainer to pick you up?
Also, is this happening to anyone else out there?

It is right for them. I have heard a lot of complaints from thier drivers over the years, from slow trucks to keeping you out 4-5 weeks in a row and low pay.

Well, as far as all the complaining from their drivers, there is only one way to look at it. Go back to the page listing all the company names and remove them. Then click on any posting and they all appear to be talking (complaining) about the same company.
Not much difference when you look at it that way. Everybody has to start somewhere and just find their niche. I admit, some are probably worse than others, but I do believe there are things that can be overcome or accomplished with just having the proper outlook or attitude. It doesn't have to be perfect, just manageable............

Just completed my first month out as a first seat driver for USA.So far everything is going great. My miles have increased every week that i was out.I met my dispatcher earlier this week seemed very upfront and honest about her expectations of me.I dont forsee having any major problems with her.The key to success i feel is once you get a load dispatched to you get a rollin dont sit on it.I delivered everything a day early or on time my first month out with no problem and running legally at that.I did get lost a few times but who doesnt on occasion.
