Thats why I don't work for carriers far away. Had to drive from WA to Ca turn in a truck then rent a car back $900 and that was in 04. Tax deductible but not payed by the company.

never depended on anyone to get me home
before this csa 2010 we had alot more flexibility to run hard so this crying about phone calls and lawsuits seems petty

Number one always protect yourself as a driver. When you are ready to quit and are a long way from home, knowing you will be routing their truck back to their terminal to turn it in, find a storage place to put most of your stuff in and have your traveling baggage ready to go.
Number two, NEVER give 2 weeks notice or any other indication you are quitting. Just get the unit back to their yard and quit on the spot. Have someone come out and sign off on the truck no damages.
Number three, you are just one driver and they are one big company. You are not going to change them or their procedures. You will assimilate or you will not.
Number four, I would say you would be a great candidate for Lease Purchase. Seriously.FatTone225 Thanks this. -
I've already been looking into buying a truck, or possibly leasing.
scottied67 Thanks this.
