Has Anyone done their own bushing replacement job. I have to replace mine on a 2015 international pro star. Is it a do it yourself project and I am mechanically inclined.

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

Have you watched any of the videos on YouTube?

Unless you’ve got the tool to press them out and press the new ones in, I wouldn’t attempt it.

Kingpin bushings, on a 4 year old truck?

I know that's one of the first suggestions when there is a tire wear issue, but the reality is those bushings last a long long time! Even though they are a crucial component, there is not much movement to wear them out in 4 years.

If they don't get enough grease they can wear out pretty fast.

Check Ezrider on utube. Excellent video on kingpin replacement. Utube channel Ezrider 92356. Maybe post question in Mechanics section. For more answers

There is enough play when the truck is jacked up

**if** the lockpins and kingpins come out of the beam easily, its a piece of cake. When they dont things get interesting.

If they are worn out on a 4 year old truck, I wonder what else is worn?
