Porta-potties???!!! In a truck???!!! Please tell me that you're kidding.
Our guys run hard but if they don't have time to stop for a call of nature either they're not planning their time well or we're asking too much of them.
Simple human dignity...not to mention sanitation...you'll never see a porta pottie in one of our trucks.

Instead of porta potties why not just have a hole in the floor. I'm sure the mechanics would love to work on that truck. What if the driver had a dog?

If were in any position to make that call and I ever found any evidence of that, I'd be making that driver crawl underneath that truck with a power washer before any mechanic would have to touch it.

Well, maybe thats one company that wont be throwing wee wee bottles and doo doo bags in the parking lot, nothing but fresh, raw fertilizer under those trucks when they park.

I always hear stories about Russian or Pakistani etc three man teams with drain holes and tubes that DOT discovers during an inspection, just wonder if there is any substance to the rumors.

Let me first say that the owner did not install porta potties in the trucks, nor did he mandate them. If the drivers had one, it was the drivers' choice. I personally know the specific team that Johndee is speaking of. Secondly, some drivers have medical or other reasons for needing a porta potty in the truck. This specific team came from an AA&E background where they had to have one for the times they were stuck in the middle of BFE doing guard duty on an explosive load over the weekend. Thirdly, there is more than one kind of porta potty. Not all require smelly liquids. Some are actually promoted by EPA and, because of the nature of the DRY chemical in the bag, are considered non-human waste and can be disposed of in any trash receptacle. Here is a link to the Clean Waste Portable Toilet that I'm talking about. Fourthly, I don't see much difference in this and where the bathroom is located in a custom sleeper truck. And lastly, what a team does in the privacy of their own truck is their business. The take away from this post in this thread is that KLH does not install nor mandate porta potties. Is the security protocol strict? Yes it is. Were we told about it up front? Yes we were.

" copy that" john thanks opions are opions and facts are facts , and we all know facts always win ....there is not one driver or should we say ,office personal posing as a driver to hinder the truth about how a company operates will stop this simple truth ...as it is written we know them by their fruits ....not so much as what fa.ncy words are coming out of their mouth ,if what john is saying is indeed fact , ....this company will be out of business soon enough ,with all the web sites we have nowadays ,we drivers with able to spot them a mile away .....the first red flag is this company seems to have a need for defending it's reputation ....exposure is their worst nightmare ,welcome to the information age KIHarring
