I have trk U12107, it idles above 70 or below 32 ALL NIGHT. No problem, you can set your trailer brakes, pop your tractor, and it will run all night and day. I don't do it OF COURSE

Anyone know where it reads the temp from? If its anywhere other than intake air temp I would find something to "warm" up the sensor with.
-
Yea on the Volvos the temp sensor is mounted on the inside bottom of the front grill. I just unplugged mine and popped it back in when going to a terminal. I didn't to it to idle excessively, just so I could watch some tv before bed and have the truck start the next morning.
-
mine is set in the 32 to71 range.
its a 012 volvo and i pop the tractor brakes all the time.
Never heard a word from anyone about idel time.Hammerup Thanks this. -
idel? idle
-
I have a Pete and just have to idle it up. It'll run all day and night. And yes I do idle all the time. F em for trying to punish anyone for idling. I wouldn't make my worst enemy drive 62mph in i40 or 10 west of the 35. So know that I am at 62 I don't even make a attempt to cut my trk off and save knight a dime. Crank em up boys and so uncle knight you ain't scared to go against the man.

Knight back down to 62 mph? That's what it was in 2003 when I hired on. But was just fast enuf to pass a Swift (60 mph)..ha ha
It went up the 5 yrs I was there in steps: 64 mph, 65 mph, and finally 66 mph.
I'm sure that 4-wheelers will love the new 62 mph...and just remember: still no excuse for being late for an appointment! Also, Knight wasnt monitoring the Qcom for 'over speeds.' (or werent penalizing at least), and so we drivers found ways to cheat to make up some time, as in going down hills at 80-85 mph... -
OverDrive Thanks this.

0-10% =65mph. 10-20% 64mph. Over 20% is 62mph, which is Fay cause that's engine time% and not time spent in truck.
