Something spooked the Knight Driver enough that he fled the scene! That is reason to fry him. Knight and the P.I. need to be punished to the fullest extent and the plantiff should be getting a huge monthly settlement * from K for punitive damages.
* payment spread out over 10 years ( millions awarded )

They netted 61m and 50m?...How many trucks do they have?
over 3500 power units. -
My take is this:
I read the article, i feel the driver killed him and ran. Maybe he was scared? Maybe he knew he was in deep do-do? Knight covering this up is not a surprise to me. Seems most big companies are good at this.
I don't feel Knight will be shut down, reason being they are too big of a company. Will the widow get a huge settlement? Yes she will. I think to teach Knight a lesson, they will keep the records open.
Where are the cheerleaders? Where is my friend Knighton?I want to hear what he has to say...
As for the driver... Well i figure Lucifer will help out on that one.. :smt077 -
This wasn't a single driver and a single dispatcher trying to cover something up, this was, for a lack of better words, most of the people in control of operations destroying evidence and trying to cover up a crime. This case now has proven, in a court of law, that Knight is willing to lying, cheat, and cover-up.
The only other question is how far does Knight take it?Injun Thanks this. -
Did you guys expect anything else....I mean afterall.....it is "knight" we are talking about here. GOOD READ THOUGH

"Find an empty, drop and hook, grab the load, take it around the block and I'll have you a load home before I leave for the weekend" (See ya Monday fool)Rollover the Original and OverDrive Thank this. -
What is a real shame is how Knight will take the innocent 22 YO college grads right out of school, who are optimistic and totally naive, and turn them into professional liars over a short period of time as DM's..!! Seen it happen too many times (I had around 20 DM's in the 5 yrs that I worked there) -
But they seems to be a "it's is OK to cheat and lie" mentality going on rampart with Knight. And it's not.blackw900 Thanks this. -
Well when you cheat and lie to your drivers everyday, you tend to believe it's normal business. Time for a wake up call.

I just read the transcript and all I can say is WOW! This reads like something out of a movie. It is hard to believe a company would perjurer their self like that. I guess it speaks to the honesty and integrity of the owner and its employee's, from the top down. Wow!
