Thank you for the information. I will look in to Crete. Smaggs, a hero to me on TTR, claimed he made a ton of money running the Western 11 with Marten, then went dry when he moved to back home working for the same company. I saw the 75 mph roads out west--but I also saw the icy mountain passes and tire chaining.

For the life of me I cannot find the definition of "Western Eleven". Which states make up this? I understand that all the states of the eleven are west of the Mississippi River, but which ones? I suspect CA, AZ, NM, TX, OR, WA, CO, UT -- then I don't have any confidence in further guesses.

The western 11 states comprises California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and Wyoming. Some strictly western carriers can also be seen in Texas and Oklahoma occasionally as well.

He quit marten because it took them one week to fix his apu. He now drives a class b box truck at minimum wage somewhere in Pittsburgh PA. That's what smaggs told me on TTr.

He quit otr permanently. Family, company and financial issues.

Maybe if the OP spent less time on TTR griping about how terrible he thinks Knight is, he would actually have time to find someone who might hire him.
