Yep but 3 would be considerably better

Being honest I can’t remember a KW set up off top my head. And they may be completely different from a Pete. I know mine came with 150’s and 2 single straps per side. They are 4” wide though. Smaller diameter and longer barrel may come into play there I guess
blairandgretchen and W923 Thank this. -
The 2 150 gallon tanks on the 379 are factory, but both front straps have cracked and broken in the last 5 years - keep in mind it’s a 1995 truck.
Pete relies on support from top only, as I recall - KW support from bottom?W923 Thanks this. -
I did see the 3 strap set up on a KW today. Something tells me @W923 is right and the 3 strap is the proper for their 150’s
blairandgretchen Thanks this. -
My KW has 150 gal tank and 2 straps. they are 4 or maybe 6 inch wide straps. Kw is a little different than pete on tank support. while the KW bracket doesn't go under the tank it goes a lot closer than a pete.
W923, wore out and blairandgretchen Thank this. -
From what I’ve seen most older kws support the tanks underneath with the bracket and then hold them in with the strap. Only ever seen 2 straps on 100 ish gallon tanks…bigger tanks generally have 3 but some only have 2 wide ones. The newer trucks seem to have more of the over the top bracket like pete and then straps holding the tank up. I believe I’ve seen both 2 and 3 strap versions but don’t claim to know all of the possible setups or if what I’ve seen is exactly factory. I personally would want 3 straps on a 150 especially with the condition of today’s roads.
wore out, Diesel Dave, blairandgretchen and 1 other person Thank this.
