FFE taint bad. Just a little short now and then on pay back then. I must have been the right kind of nut for them. What happened so you moved on from them? If you don't mind my asking?

He’s trying to get on with knight transportation and he’s not sure if he will get on my opinion he needs to stop complaining and stick with company for about 2 years and wait for some of his stuff to fall off

New FFE was really good I was with them for about 2 1/2 years and they sold out to KLLM so I left been with Crete since 2014 had major eye surgery been back with them since early 2018 freight has been slow for me the last couple weeks 1800 and last week 2100 this week I may hit around 2300 to 2400 I could jump around but I’m not like my buddy who’s jumping ship when things are bad for like a couple weeks I’m pretty sure he’s going to be forced to leave trucking

Best move I ever made. I have nearly doubled my income, and no longer have to deal with type A personality ######## and passive-aggressive ####### in the workplace.
Now, my IT job was not making me a great deal of money, and I do bust my butt for more miles. I do not have a family that needs me home regularly either.
500 per week is trainee pay. If you have a decent driving record and no serious legal issues in your past, you should easily clear 40k in your first year. 50k is doable, and 60k is not out of the question, but unlikely if you spend as much time at home as you are allowed.
After 6 months to a year or so, if you want more time with the family, look for regional or local driving jobs.
ALSO check with Schneider to be sure that community college course is acceptable to them. Every company has different standards they use to judge driving schools. Schneider will probably take a community college driving course, but be sure.
Take advantage of the grant. I did. It makes things simpler in the long run. -
After reflecting on it I think the biggest problem I had was over thinking things and making everything a calculus equation when really only basic arithmetic was needed. I spent a great deal of time thinking about and worrying about other people that I didn't think that maybe they didn't care or give it any thought. I was the only person thinking about it.
Computers and technology will always be near and dear to me but a more straight-forward honest to goodness profession will be how I make money from now on.
I like most people. I just don't mix with a lot of them around me. Just give me one co driver and we can haul some freight and listen to some music.tommymonza, Farmerbob1 and Lepton1 Thank this. -
Do you like running team better than running solo, that just seems odd to me.
TravR1 Thanks this. -
I was horribly broke most of my life so earning a lot of my money offsets my teaming discrepancies.
I will go solo though in the near future and that's when I will be the happiest once I can earn close to what I'm making and not have to smell fart all day long.Farmerbob1 and Lepton1 Thank this. -
OK, I can see that. Myself I tend to like a truck to myself for the most part, if I am basically living in it.
