In my opinion, it truly depends on the individual. I highly recommend buying your own trailer as @Old Man said.

It takes a little while to learn the system, but there are lots of opportunities available to those with a certain mindset.

Yes There's alot of rgn freight, but the rgn rates are very low rightnow. Unless your in a niche haul. There are rgn drivers haulin right now just to keep the money flow going. Example....had an agent call me wed. With a high and wide and heavy load out south Mississippi to ohio. 12.6 wide 15 ft tall on trailer, 60000lbs. Want to pay me $5800. Pole car at $1.50 per mile regular car at $1.30 = $2800 total. Ad around apx. $1300 permits and fuel, bout $625. My truck gets 80 % of gross..m..not much left !!! I'll deadhead before I do that !

At 3 bucks for fuel that doesn’t work very good. I guess if you’re going to go broke ya might as well do it at home.

I think 1 offer out of 100 might be good. The other 99 are always something someone is looking to pedal cheap.

The agent had me on a three way phone call with the broker. I asked what about pole car/ pilot car charge. I started laughing when he said that was factored in rate !?........i deadhead to the house !! LOL I run for a dedicated customer. So i dont look around to often.

It’s not much different with the flatbed. A lot of 1.50 freight out there. I can’t do it for that. Even if it’s going to the house

They completely scammed me. When I received my policy in the mail, I had a 500 mile radius. I threatened legal action as nothing said that in anything I signed, and told the agent over and over that the truck needed to go to Cali. They ended up upgrading to unlimited radius, and Progressive, or them ate the premium increase, but I’ve heard a couple others with the same issue.
