Anybody know about Landstar's reefer division? Looking around and investigating opportunities...

Yeah - a mate signed on in July with his own reefer. He's doing pretty good!

I have talked to two owners with reefers, and TVAL (pharmaceutical) experience. They have hauled a few loads, but insufficient to support their equipment. LS is working at developing a viable cold chain fleet, but it is not operating as of yet.

Funny I see this thread, I was wondering the same thing. Just saw a Landstar 220" large car volvo, decked out with a matching spread axle 48 foot reefer sitting in yuma, AZ last weekend. I assumed waiting on a dole fresh load.

Didn't know LS had reefer at all.

I sincerely doubt they're hauling produce. Most likely a wood floor reefer.

That was probably a AA&E division truck you saw in Yuma. We have several here that haul temperature controlled explosives.
